Dave did a large job for me this summer involving stump removal, extensive drainage repair, lots of grading with several trucks of fill, and finally hydro seeding of a 60 year old house with a neglected yard. The first thing you’ll notice working with Dave is his professionalism. He was patient walking through the property and thinking through what the job would entail. He then wrote up a quote with full explanations of the steps which helped me get comfortable signing off on so much work to be done. Dave worked tirelessly through peak summer heat. I could tell that he was being careful and thoughtful even though he was using huge machines. At the end of each day he would email me a summary of the day’s work and where we were on the project. I’ve never had a contractor do this before and it was awesome to be able to read the “story” of the yard as he was going through it. The end product looks great, now I just need to water it! I would recommend Dave to anyone who’s to get a large job done by a contractor who’s honest and professional. I’m terrible of taking before pics but here’s an after pic of the back yard. We needed a contractor that could help with not only a massive post storm tree and root cleanup, grading, topsoil, and hydro seeding, but also to recommend other contractors for hardscaping, tree removal, and irrigation. Overall total 5 star experience from estimate to communication throughout the project, and now post-project. Super clear and frequent communication, literally daily email updates which is just not something you see typically, and was especially helpful dealing with weather that impacts projects like this. As with all projects, we needed to change some things up and add some requests along the way, and communication and pricing was excellent just as it was with the initial proposal. Would (and have) recommend NW Dirtworks to anyone who is looking for great pricing, excellent work, and top notch communication. David is clearly highly experienced, and discussed in complete detail everything that will happen. There were no surprises. David of Northwest Dirtworks has done an amazing job clearing, leveling, and providing special footing for a dog agility training area on our property. His communication has been excellent. His work ethic and expertise are evident in every step. His coordination of all of the steps, deliveries, and application of materials was perfect. We have used Dave who owns and operates Northwest Dirtworks LLC for four different large projects now around our home and small farm. Dave is an incredibly skilled machine operator, a very hard worker, and is a true man of his word. He has proven time and time again to be reliable, trustworthy, and severely undersells himself in my opinion meaning he is very reasonable and affordable with his pricing. No hidden costs, accurate quoting, and to be honest he puts in way more effort and work then he is charging for. What might take someone else two days to finish, Dave will take on and working non stop and will be done in one day, and with a better end result done right. So instead of paying for a two day job, he only charges for the one instead of stretching his time as others might do. There are zero corners cut. But there are huge hidden savings in this for the customer, and it is only possible because of Dave's knowledge, experience, equipment and machine operator skill. He has all of the right equipment and attachments for any job, and knows exactly what tool to use when. Lastly, I have to commend Dave on what I think is one of his greatest attributes but may go unnoticed. Dave is a visionary, meaning he can fully imagine the perfect end state of a project in his mind, even when I the customer had trouble seeing it, and he has the ability to bring that end state to life. At this point Dave has helped us redeem acres upon acres of unusable land, that we thought might not be possible to get beneficial use out of... but with Dave's vision, equipment, knowledge and skill, he got it all done. We have a fully functioning farm that we are able to feed our community with, majorly to Dave's credit. We have a market garden, orchard, pasture, parking areas, and more that came about with Dave's help when previously it was just extremely rocky, uneven, overgrown, wasted land. We have other projects planned in the future, and we will not use anyone else other than Dave! Thanks Dave for all you have done to help us, we are so grateful for you, and are more than happy to support you and your family as you have with ours! (Also, I wasn't going to add this... but because I believe it brings glory to God I will. I only met Dave after asking many other similar companies for help, and no one wanted to take on the job or had the time, or was insanely expensive. So I prayed to God on my knees to send us help in our time of need when things seemed hopeless, and Dave was the answer to that prayer and who was sent. So I literally praise and thank the Lord for bringing Dave and his family into our lives. All credit and glory to God!) You could choose to use another company to do your work... but honestly you would be making a big mistake and be missing out.
